Our client is a highly successful International Group with operations spanning Europe, Middle East and the USA. They are a profitable with an excellent management team. They have a high profile and are recognised as having a significant presence within their industry sectors.
They are currently recruiting a Group Internal Auditor with fluent German or Spanish. This role is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and dynamic accountant to gain exposure to the broad range of operations within the Group. Senior Management view this role as a stepping stone into a mainstream Financial Controller position with strong long term career development.
Group Internal Auditor- Fluent German or Spanish
Reporting to the Group Internal Audit Manager, the team are responsible for assessing the operational and financial risk management and controls to achieve better efficiencies, optimise Group performance and growth. Duties will include:
• Carry out multi-scope reviews of and SOX work on operational and financial risk management and control at Group and subsidiaries
• Co-ordinate with internal audit teams overseas
• Devise practical solutions, and offer advice and guidance to issues that arise in the course of this work
• Compile reports and recommendations on issues arising during audit work
• Co-ordinate the reporting of issues arising, and receipt and adequacy of the responses of management
• Liaise with Senior Group and Operating Company Management on issues and solutions
• Identify the needs and best methods to improve risk management and internal control across the Group
• Ad hoc projects as requested
Ideal Candidate
• Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA etc)
• Trained with a Big4 firm
• Good IFRS knowledge and internal controls
• Fluent German/ Spanish and English
• Full clean drivers licence
• Excellent interpersonal skills, as the successful candidate will be dealing with the senior executive team and senior management throughout the subsidiaries
• Ambitious with a strong work ethic
• Flexibility and mobility required for 50% travel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• Strong report writing skills with very strong attention to detail
